Yu Gardens: A famous garden of beauty and tranquillity in the heart of Shanghai built during the Ming Dynasty 400 years ago as a son’s gift to his parents

Old Town Market: Yuyuan Market, found beside Yu Gardens, is a bazaar of stores selling traditional Chinese crafts and souvenirs

Bund: This symbol of Shanghai is known worldwide as the ‘gallery of international architecture.’ Its assortment of buildings standing along the Huangpu River varying in height, color and architectural design make it one of the most magnificent skylines in the world.

Zhouzhuang: is one of the most famous water townships in China, noted for its profound cultural background, the well-preserved ancient residential houses, the elegant watery views and the strong local traditions and customs. The town is over 900 years old, yet the style and features of this magical place and the lives of its inhabitants remain almost unchanged.

Twin bridges: one a stone archetype and the other a stone beam bridge, two rivers crisscross in north-south and east-west directions here, and the square and round openings of the bridges provide a unique and beautiful frame from which to see the water
